Another game where RR have been in a winning position while chasing and they have lost. Has happened for three games in a row. Against DC, LSG and now RCB. They so easily could have won all three and been sitting in the top half of the table. But that's the cruel reality of T20 cricket. A single mistake could change the entire complexion of the game. On that note we sign off for the night. More IPL action coming your way tomorrow. Two bottom-dwellers play against each other - CSK v SRH. We will be there for that one. Till then sleep tight and snore away your worries. See you.
Josh Hazlewood | Player of the Match: First of all was sticking to your strengths. Knew the hard length was tough to hit on this wicket, mixing it up with the odd yorker, the slower balls and the order in which to bowl them was the way to go. Opportunity to play the format, did not have the opportunity with Test cricket and then ODI cricket. First it is Sydney Sixers, CSK and now RCB, these are the three teams majorly and a bit for Australia as well. Taking information from different pieces and putting it all together. One of the big keys for us is to get the information to the group as well. I love our bowling attack. I feel we have got every base covered, everyone has their days and we are doing well. The bounce is quite steep here throughout the whole tournament, getting that score was phenomenal. I feel that was well-above par and the guys did a really great job.
Rajat Patidar | RCB captain: That was a much-needed win. Today the wicket was different and all credit goes to the bowlers after the 10th over. The way they showed courage was tremendous. Initially they batted beautifully, credit goes to them as well. We were searching for wickets, when you get wickets only you can stop runs. I always back my instincts first but we have a team of great leaders and their inputs helps a lot. (if they have cracked the code finally to win at the MCS?) Yes (smiles).
Virat Kohli: Pretty happy, we discussed a few things as a batting unit and applied ourselves well enough to get a total on the board. The dew really helped in the second half, credit to RR they came out and played good shots ,but to claw our way back and get those 2 points was really crucial. The first challenge here (at this venue) is to win toss and second half it becomes a bit of a advantage, we have been fighting hard to get a good score in the first few games, but the template today was for one guy to bat through and the rest of the batters can go attacking and today it really paid off. There is pace and bounce in the first 3-4 overs and I think we tried to force too many shots in the last 3 games and today we let the ball come and adjusted ourselves and we were able to capitalise on those. We figured out a way to bat now and in the next few home games, we should be in a better position to get those extra 15-20 runs. It (this venue) is the best place to play cricket in the IPL, and the fans backed us during good and bad times. It is a special place and have lot of special memories.
Parag: We did really well with the ball. I thought it was a 210-215 wicket, we held them back really well. Halfway through our innings we were in the driver's seat. We've got ourselves to blame. Didn't show enough intent against spinners. (How much of it is mental?) It does play a part but support staff has given us a lot of freedom and the onus is on us to go ahead and show that freedom and play freely. It's a tournament where if you make a slight mistake, you'll pay for it. We speak a lot as groups. We try to be very honest with our conversations about how everyone was feeling in different situations. We've spoken about situations like this, just couldn't execute it tonight. We've got to play for pride now. There are a lot of fans who support us. There are a lot of people who work really hard for us to come out here and play in a tournament like this. Have got to do it for them. Have to be very grateful and honoured to play this game and play for this franchise and we've got to show it next time we play.
Stats by Shashikant Singh
First win for RCB against RR after four consecutive losses in night games.
Fewest matches for 50 IPL wickets by pacers
A fifth consecutive loss for Rajasthan Royals - their joint-longest losing streak in IPL (lost five in a row in 2009-10)
23:28 Local Time, 17:58 GMT, 23:28 IST: If you have a certain guy called Hazlewood in your team, then it's almost a cheat code. RCB have won this game purely on the back of his magic in the 19th over.
First win in four games for RCB at home this season.
19.6
Yash Dayal to Fazalhaq Farooqi, 1 run, to long-off

19.4
Yash Dayal to Fazalhaq Farooqi, 1 run, barring any miracles, this game is done. Full on leg-stump, Fazalhaq Farooqi drives to long-on and it's just one
