The break after the win against Chennai Super Kings has not worked for the Sunrisers Hyderabad. They are back to losing ways and now find themselves one defeat away from being eliminated. The Gujarat Titans march on as they climb to the second spot with this win. That's all from this contest. We have the big one tomorrow - Royal Challengers Bengaluru vs Chennai Super Kings. Join us for that game. Until next time, goodbye and stay safe..
Prasidh Krishna | Player of the Match: Honestly it does not feel different (on wearing the Purple Cap). I am happy we got the most important victory. It was important for us. We had two long breaks, after the break we didn't win the game and it was important to win this one. I would say so (that this is the best he has bowled). My control over the length has been good, all the work we have been putting in as a team and everybody around have been supportive enough. I am enjoying how the ball is coming out. My preparation would start by what I want to do and then what I would do against someone I am facing in the game. I have a lot of people around me who have played a tremendous amount of cricket and I just have a chat with them, hit the right areas and take it from there. I have one (red ball) in my room, I have been playing around but not got it onto the field yet. Looking to take this tournament first and then look at what is coming later.
Shubman Gill: Definitely didn't plan that (on playing just 22 dot balls in 20 overs). The only conversation was let's try to play the game we have been playing so far. The black soil pitch is not easy to hit sixes but the way me, Sai and Jos play, I think we have the understanding on how to keep the scoreboard ticking. I don't think we have ever had that conversation where one of us has to be there. We are all eager and hungry for runs and do what is best for the team. The fielding was one thing we talk about before every game, we have been average so far but happy with the way we fielded today. Everyone is chipping in, it is always nice to have options when you are defending on these grounds. There was a little bit of a discussion with me and the umpire, sometimes there are so many emotions involved as you give your 110 percent, there are bound to be some emotions.
Jos Buttler (A complete performance?) Yeah, pretty much. It was a great performance, definitely our best performance in the field. We've dropped a few catches this year. The first wicket, Rashid Khan, an amazing catch set the tone. (Batting approach) The guys are in great touch at the top, setting brilliant platforms just playing the way they play. Those two guys are quite traditional players with fantastic techniques, so they can occupy the crease, but the way they scored today, they take it by surprise how fast  they score with classical shots. (On Sai Sudharsan) I've said it few times, day one watching him in the nets, I was blown away by how good he is. More importantly great head on his shoulders. The effort he puts in, the work, the understanding of his game, the humility to keep coming everyday and keep working. He's shown fantastic consistency and getting the rewards he deserves. (On Prasidh Krishna) The basics, he does really well. He bowls a fantastic line, doesn't give the guys too much width, he watches the batters well and follows them. He mixes his lengths, uses his bounce and yorkers. Very disciplined and executing really well.
Pat Cummins: Couple of things. Our poweplay with the bat wasn't too great. I was as guilty as anyone else. Probably let them get 20-30 extra runs. May be hang on to one or two catches. Again am guilty there. Chasing 200 looked a bit more realistic. They are class batters. They don't do anything outlandish. If you bowl bad balls, they just put it away. We probably dished out too many bad balls. It is a really good wicket. Going for 140 in the last 14 overs was good on the bowling part. Sharma batted nicely. Nitish at the end. Left a little too much and too late for the batters. We can cling on to some hope. Big auction last year. The core of the group will be there for three years. So, lots to play for. It is an amazing venue to play. They are so nice and loud.
