After 33 games we have the finalists. Defending champs Freedom are in their second straight final while MINY have stunned everyone to get to their second MLC final. Unfortunately the forecast as of now for Sunday is a bit iffy. Hopefully the weather gods are kind on us for a mega final. See you all soon!
Nic Pooran: Not sure how we got to the finals but we are in the finals now.
Kieron Pollard | PoTM:
Faf du Plessis: Very disappointed, I thought we had been excellent throughout the tournament, even today scrapping hard, getting to a competitive total. I thought as a squad we were really good. (On the surface) A lot slower, a lot more two-paced and even a bit of grip. We dropped Pollard twice, extremely tough chances with the wind blowing but you know if you get him, you are in with a chance. We were thinking about him (Hosein) all the time, he bowled well upfront, we thought of keeping his two overs for the backend. It was a 50-50 call with Pollard in. He is a terrific ball-striker, I asked him as well, probably not the right one to go to. (On Qualifier 1 getting washed out) Yes, 100 percent we worked really hard to get in the top-two, we had a chance to get straight into the final but it wasn’t the case for us. They (MINY) have been an average team this season but they have stepped up with good performances of late. It has been really good to see the local boys step up this season, you always expect the overseas players to perform but it has been the local guys who have stood up.
Spare a thought for the Super Kings. They were one of the top sides. A well rounded side winning 7 of the 10 league games to finish top two. Rain ditched them in Qualifier 1 and they had to play this game. And Kieron Pollard, he's a big thorn in the flesh for the Super Kings family. Isn't he?

22:41 Local Time, 03:41 GMT, 09:11 IST: Elation in the MINY camp. They were almost down and out for a good part of the tournament.

The bowler and Faf aren't pleased with that call. Faf explains how that's not a wide. Nothing is going to change though
