Welcome back for the run-chase!
Kathryn Bryce: It has been really good so far. Finding my way here. The pitch is a bit tricky, there's some turn. Over 150-160, like the last two nights, could be a pretty similar pitch. It is still doing a bit and the cutters were doing something off the pitch.
Welcome back for the run-chase!
21:03 Local Time, 15:33 GMT, 21:03 IST: A brilliant bowling performance from MIW has ensured that they restrict GGT to a below par total. Some late flourish has given them a glimmer of hope to GGT but the damage was done before that. After winning the toss and opting to bowl, Ismail was on the money upfront and got rid of Veda and Harleen Deol with two booming inswingers, trapping both of them in front. GGT lost another wicket in the form of Litchfield within the powerplay and were pushed further on the back foot. The MIW spinners were frugal in the middle overs and that compounded their opposition’s problems. The story of losing wickets at regular intervals continued and even their skipper, Mooney, perished under pressure. Gardner tried to counter-attack but holed out in the process. It was the 8th wicket stand between Bryce and Kanwer that led to their revival. Both of them scored some boundaries and have given something to their bowlers to fight for. Ismail and Kerr were the pick of the bowlers for MIW as they took a 3-fer and 4-fer respectively. The wicket is a bit two-paced but MIW are well and truly the favourites. GGT would need to make early inroads to give themselves a chance. Join us shortly for the run-chase...
